Alhambra del Mar Marbella review

Main places to find a rental is Fotocasa.es, but particular apartment was found in finn.no.

I could recommend Norwegian realtor and another real Estate agency in Puerto Banus

We have spent 7 winter months in Marbella. Renting a 140 square meter, 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath apartment for 1750 euro at Alhambra del Mar condominium.

The best thing about this condominium is – location. It is in the middle of the old town and Puerto Banus. Both walking distance. Many cafes and restaurants are close and my favorite Cuppuccino cafe just 50 meters from my apartment. Only 10% of apartments have people living during winter months.

Negative things about this condominium: no heated pool. (november is already cold to swim)

No decent tennis court nearby. (Grand Melia hotel which is 5 minutes walk has both tennis and padel courts, but tennis courts are very poor)

Bangkok

Bangkok
Recommended length of stay: 1 day.
Things to do:
River/canal boat tour. There are 2 to 4 hour options, but 2 hours is more than enough, if you are not willing to visit every temple and feed the fish for half an hour.
Khaosan Road (backpackers street) good thai food, cheap massage, lots of people. Cheap hotels around 30usd.
Hotels
Lebua hotel – is famous for its restaurants. (be careful many of them do not allow with children until 14years old) Dinner cost ±100 usd per person. If you are on a budget – i recommend you visiting a sky-bar and have a drink (15usd) then go eat somewhere else. Great breakfast. (there are only 2 places that i remember about breakfast: Lebua and Rye Juan Carlos in Barcelona)
Baiyoke hotel – do not recommend. Tallest building in Thailand, but the hotel is less than average 3*
Aetas Lumpini – 5 star hotel for a 3 star hotel price. Stayed few times there.
Conrad Hotel – one of very few hotels in central Bangkok with a tennis court. Has good restaurants and breakfast.
Taxi
do not ride TukTuk, unless for an attraction, because they are rather expensive at the end..
taxi is cheap in Bangkok and you should always pay what is written on the meter. Never negotiate with taxi driver (only tourists negotiate) just sit in and drive, at the end you pay what the meter says.

Incredible India :)

Our route in India was planned like this:

“we come and decide what to do next. We leave to Thailand after 10 days from Colcata”

Basically no plan. As the distances are quite huge in India we decided to travel only Northern part of India.

Things to do and not to do in India:

1. Don’t stay in Delhi. There is nothing to do there. Seriously. Same applies for Colcata.

2. Don’t go to Agra – Taj Mahal. It is not worth visiting it. Same as in pictures.

3. Be carrefull about being robbed in the train.

3. Go to Varanasi!!! Take a flight Delhi – Varanasi immediatly, if you happened to come to Delhi first.  (Best place to book Indian flights is MakeMyTtrip.com – they search all regular airlines as well as low cost airlines.)

Varanasi is really incredible place. I strongly recommend you waking up 4AM (I usually don’t do that) to be on the boat before 5AM for the sunrise. You can stay there 2 hours to see all Varanasi waking up – people coming to bathe and pray.

We have stayed in Ramada Varanasi which is really good hotel with a swimming pool and 2 very good restaurants. I would say 2 best in which i have eaten in India. Strongly recommend. We have also tried some 3-4 restaurants in Varanasi from TripAdvisor top places to eat – but were not happy with quality of food and in some places with hygiene. By the way all top rated restaurants are close to the river, but in my opinion are very low quality. Same with hotels – all better hotels are 10-15 minutes drive from the river.

Pictures of things not to do:

We took a night train from Agra to Varanasi. Total travel time 10 hours. The trains were better when expected. Price per person ±15euro in sleeping train (4 passengers – best you can get) Also we got robbed – we knew that, we tried to be safe, but still we got robbed in the train :)
